Daddy’s DayPosted: June 23, 2011 | Author: ace | Filed under: Uncategorized | Leave a comment »
The Sheriff had a great weekend celebrating her daddy! Ace and Joker kicked it off with a Sheriff-less trip to Fenway to watch the Sox beat up on the Brewers with their favorite Polish-Irish duo. Ace brought the Smirnoff Ice out of retirement that evening — it had been a while since she had one of her favorite summer cocktails since she was pregnant with the Sheriff last summer! Thanks to Aunt K for watching the Sheriff!
Saturday morning, the A Team headed out to breakfast at Friendly Toast (yum), followed by the Sheriff’s first trip to Newport (fun). The Sheriff slept through the annual pilgrimage to Bardini 2009 — the Eisenhower House — and enjoyed her first trip to the Barking Crab, Newport. (She has already been to the Barking Crab, Boston for Mother’s Day dinner with Ace, Joker and Babci where she met her first 8 pound lobster!).
Father’s day was special. The Sheriff had a nice Italian lunch in Ace’s old hood with her great grandparents, Dziadz, Joker and Ace. Great Grandpa got his favorite veal parm and smiled the day away just looking at the little Sheriff. And in the evening the Sheriff got to show off her new tricks (rolling over!) for Grandpa and Babs, followed by a splendid trip to Sullivan’s at Castle Island for some tasty fried food and ice cream!
